Magnificent walk

Just to show you that the wine flows like water in Spain, here is a pic from our bar last night.

One of the best day's walking today. A whole lot of variety, breathtaking karst limestone crags towering over us

Spotted a capra de montagne

Walked through sculptured Holm and gall oak trees, hundreds of years old

Strolled through the green Libar valley and passed it's remote cortijo

Climbed up to an old spring and found peonies growing

Clambered up an ancient track following cairns to a pass. Stopped halfway for lunch and were startled by a clattering of hooves as a herd of about 8 wild pigs hurtled past. Couldn't get a photo of them!

Realised a long time after we got to the top of the pass that Rob had left his walking pole down at the farm - we got it out in case the horned beasties attacked us!  So good bye pole, an old friend, very sad.

Early afternoon saw us arrive in Cortes de la Frontera, a town that has prospered from its vast cork oak forest.

It was a little cooler today which helped us - a complete contrast to yesterday's sweltering heat.
